If your application concerns data belonging to someone else — for example a colleague whose details you submitted through the contact form — the application must be made by that person or by their authorised representative.
Situations outside the scope of these rights
Article 28 of Law No. 6698 sets out situations in which the Law does not apply or in which the rights listed above cannot be exercised. The most relevant of these for us are:
- processing that is necessary for the performance of a statutory duty or for the exercise of a legal right, such as records that must be kept under commercial, tax and product safety legislation;
- processing necessary for the investigation, prevention or prosecution of an offence;
- data that you have yourself made public;
- processing necessary for the protection of economic and financial interests relating to budget, tax and financial matters.
Where an application is refused in whole or in part, the reason is explained in our written response together with the legal ground relied upon, so that you can take the matter to the Board if you disagree.
